Close to the Acacia Hotel in the Al Hamra industrial zone there is a top class Swiss chocolate manufacture. While the production site itself is quite small, one should not underestimate the class of the chocolatiers. Daniel Hutmacher and his sister Ginette Oberson are true Swiss chocolatiers who have learned their trade in Switzerland. When visiting them one quickly understands that they are innovative chocolate artists thriving for perfection. And they don’t shy away from having their products pitched against leading Swiss chocolate brands.
The Von Gysenstein product lines include several vegan and low calorie chocolates, as well as some sweets that are based on Arabic ingredients like camel milk, Omani Halwa or dates.
While mainly selling to business customers, Von Gysenstein does now sell their products in a newly opened shop in Ras al Khaimah. You can also buy them directly at the “factory” in the Industrial Zone of Al Jazeerah Al Hamra.

All in all the prices are reasonable. You will pay between AED 17 – 35 per 100 gr.
Besides the packaging, which is not as classy as the content it holds, the only thing to be cautious about, is the quite big product range: It might be a bit difficult to make up your mind and choose what you like best.
